The Fun House is a family soft-play club and restaurant in the heart of Fuengirola, recently taken over and completely renovated from the venue that traded until recently as Kiddo's. The refit has made a real difference: the whole space feels fresher and better thought out, while the things that already worked — easy, friendly family access and genuinely good value — have been kept.

The children's soft-play area has been upgraded with a series of well-judged additions and changes to the layout. The old dedicated birthday-party room has been repurposed into play space, opening the venue up to a wider range of ages rather than reserving a chunk of it for private parties. The result is more to do, for more children, across the same footprint.

Pricing has stayed exactly where it was, which is a big part of the appeal: €6 per child buys two hours of play, which is very reasonable for the Costa del Sol. At that price it is an easy, low-commitment way to fill a morning or afternoon — especially on a rainy day, or when it is simply too hot to be outside.

A clear win for younger children is the back room, which now has a bouncy castle and a small climbing wall aimed at little ones. It gives toddlers and pre-schoolers their own space to burn off energy, away from the busier main frame, and it is one of the most obvious improvements from the renovation.

Just as important for parents, the food offer has been upgraded too. The menu is broader and the quality of the food was very good, and there is now noticeably more and better seating for adults — smaller tables that give you more room to manoeuvre, more seats overall, and a bar-style counter in the middle with high stools. It genuinely works as a place where the kids play while grown-ups sit down properly with a coffee, a meal or a drink.

One change worth knowing about is that the outer area at the back has been closed off. In practice this is no loss: it had no line of sight to the children's play area, so it was never a good spot for parents and saw little use anyway. In its place, the patio outside and the tables out on the front pavement now give you more suitable, more visible seating options.

Overall, The Fun House delivers higher-quality food and better play options than before, at the same keen price — a straightforward win for families. It is a comfortable, well-run indoor option in central Fuengirola that keeps both children and parents happy, whatever the weather.
