Activity overview
Jump Joy Mijas is a brand-new place just opened up in Mijas, and first impressions are overall very positive. There was absolutely no expense spared when creating this place — each detail is meticulous and immaculate. It's a very impressive setup, with a very imaginative collection of jumps, climbs and some wild new concepts I have not seen yet. It's easily the best jump place around (and it has some good competition).
This was the second attempt at visiting and reviewing Jump Joy. The first time we tried to go, it was so busy (it was a Saturday afternoon, and it was very new) with such a long queue that we went somewhere else instead and decided to come back. It was worth coming back for, too.
I paid for 1.5 hours for 2 kids and 1 hour for me as an adult, and with the socks that set us back €54, which I consider to be on the slightly high side of OK and reasonable. To be fair, you get what you pay for, and in the context of the money spent on this place, the cost seems very acceptable.
As well as a good range of jumping options, there are slides and also a canopy climbing area with harness and clip cables. It's quite a decent size too, and covers around a third of the upper roof area of the warehouse. I tried it with my younger child and it was great fun — we could have easily spent more than an hour up there!
Apart from the main area, where kids can play unattended (parents can watch them from a café area on the balcony, giving them a good view of the whole play zone — a super smart idea), there is also a very large area for smaller kids. Usually with these kinds of places the smaller play areas are an afterthought and shoved into a corner, but not here, with the area easily taking up 30% to 35% of the whole space. As our kids are over the age for it we did not visit to check it out, but you can see all areas of it from above, and again it impressed. In particular, you could see one area where they had a dressing-up zone with costumes and dolls — a lot of attention to detail.
We did not eat at Jump Joy Mijas, so I cannot properly review the food and drink prices or quality, but we could see there were quite a few areas set up for kids' parties (and a few active while we were there), and the bathroom facilities were modern and clean.
Overall, I was very impressed with this place and will 100% go back at some point.
